Firmware compatibility

Hello everyone, a quick reminder regarding the firmware compatible with your unit: For K5 units not version 3 (i.e., versions 1, 2, 6, etc.): Due to the older hardware, you cannot install the new Fusion 5.X firmware. Make sure you know how to use your radio, or you risk bricking it.
The compatible versions are therefore:

For obvious reasons, these firmwares are no longer updated, as the hardware limits additions compared to more recent models like the K1 or K5v3.

For K1 or K5 V3 units, you have the new hardware and its increased storage capacity, so you can install this firmware version:

I hope I was able to help; don't hesitate to ask if you need any further assistance 🥰

Fusion 5.5 is coming, and with it, one of the most interesting features. Armel just presented a video showcasing the upcoming major advancement in his firmware, and it concerns scan speed. Whether in lists or even in the VFO or scan range, the speed seems to be multiplied by 2 or even 3 while still capturing receptions, ideal for scanning Airband, for example. I've attached a video link so you can see for yourself!

I don't know if the translation is available; if so, the "improve" post is the one on the right.

F4HWN Fusion 5.4

Added a progress bar during scanning with a visual indicator of selected channels

Added a Wide/Narrow mode in AM RX

Improved CTCSS for better compatibility with certified radios

Major improvement to channel name editing: you can now use the letters assigned to the radio’s keypad (those who remember T9 on old phones will know what I mean 😄)

Added information in the SYSINF menu (M52): you can now display details such as firmware upload date, battery status (voltage, %, and type — e.g. 1400 mAh), and radio memory usage (Flash/SRAM)

New Spectrum Analyzer interface! Completely redesigned UI — I’ll let you check it out, it’s really nice

After version 5.3, which notably introduced audio profiles for AM as well as a visual indicator during channel RX, this version brings even more solid improvements!

Please install this firmware on K5 (V3) units only and K1.

See you soon 🫶🏼
