Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner on both electric and acoustic guitar.

I have an Ibanez Gio GRG131DX and a Fender Champion 20 amp. Since I don't have the budget for high-end gear, I was told this setup would be good enough for learning.

I don't have any effect pedals, etc.

Do any guitarists here know this amp? I just can't seem to find a metal setting that sounds even a bit decent or pleasant to the ear 🫤

I'm not looking for a super heavy or dark tone. Just a nice sound to practice chords...

I feel like maybe I'm just bad at dialing in the tone, but this gear should still be able to sound somewhat decent, right? On YouTube, people get tones that really surprise me. Impossible to reproduce it...
