So gaijin has just made the event ungrindable halfway through? How do you get points with these new changes?
Because of my work schedule I only get 1-1.5 hours a night to play without getting into dangerous levels of sleep deprivation, but I was still on track to get both planes.
Log on tonight and it feels totally hopeless. Changes to the map have dispelled the big furballs, however if you try and loiter in the combat zone to get air kills you get gimped by AA. Fair enough, they want people to actually play objective, but the AA is just too ridiculous to make any progress by ground attacking. Cut my session tonight short in frustration and I think I managed to hit two HARMS with an su24 in about 45 minutes. Guided munitions just get shot down, conventional dumb bombs are impossible to get on target close enough to get anything more than hits.
Part of me wishes they’d just made the grind this awful from the get go, would have saved me a week of effort as I wouldn’t have bothered. Missing today’s challenge means I’ll 100% not be getting the TU95, B52 is theoretically still possible but I can’t see it happening as the event is now.
Anyone still bothering with the grind? What are your tactics?
