Wire pro 2 / Ampinel load balancer compatibility with the Lynk+

Wire pro 2 / Ampinel load balancer compatibility with the Lynk+

Many of us have been scratching our heads wondering how we can get wire pro 2 or ampinel load balancer to fit on the Lynk+.

Wire pro 2 is too bulky, but they are due to release a “wired” version soon, but it kinda defeats the object by adding additional cables to the equation.

So we have devised a simple and easy modification we can do to the top plate to allow the ampinel load balancer to fit :)

Stock at watercoolinguk is due to arrive end of this month. So get your orders in, guide to complete the mod will be created shortly after!

So what does everyone think?

Is it still ugly, or does the ventus deserve a new title?

Anyone with a ventus, that has temperature concerns, this build doesn't even reach 45c under 600w load

The mix of stainless steel and strip rgb, makes me believe this motherboard would marry beautifully with the Lynk+ cooler setup.

It would be great to see the aesthetics of the setup!

If anyone is planning a Lynk+ build then I’d highly recommend this motherboard, plus we all wanna see what it looks like 😂

Hi everyone,

Thought it would be really useful for all the Lynk+ users to have a standard temperature test similar to tech power ups review they did last year. Use hwinfo to obtain the data and share with it the rest of the community.

Test rules:-

Wattage 575-600w using any 3d application that uses 100% of your GPU, testing for 20 minutes solid, no interruptions or stopping between.

Screenshot the GPU section like in the example here 🙂 combined with your room temperature at the time of testing. Photo of your build, followed by your LYNK+ specs, single rad, duel rad, triple rad, idle temps etc.

Your “average” wattage needs to be within 575-600W

1- 575w for lower limited cards

2- 595-600W for none power limited cards.

My specs, RTX 5090 with duel rads, idle temperature is 24c and room temperature is at 21c

Core temperature average:- 44.8c

Memory temperature average:- 55.7c

Brands compatible:-

1- Palit

2- Gainward

Brands that are not compatible:-

1- Inno3D,

2- PNY

3- Zotac

4- MSI

Thermal grizzly are due to release a new FE wire pro 2 soon, which will change some of the above compatibility, but as of today, this is the current list.

I would have wanted to build myself a new PC, but the reality is that most of my time is taken nowadays by other things, particularly work. Long story short: I ended up buying a build-to-order desktop from a local (japanese) system integrator. What was unique about this was their offering of a 5090 (I think this one's basically an Inno3d 5090 X3 OC) along with a Lynk+ water cooling block and 360mm radiator with noctua a12 g2 fans. So far it seems to perform pretty good, with most games I play keeping GPU temps at around 55C.

Other specs:

CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X3D

Cooler: 360mm asetek aio + noctua f12 fans

MB: Asrock Taichi Creator x870

RAM: 96GB DDR5 5600 (Crucial)

SSD: 4TB Sandisk 8100 + 8TB Sandisk SN850X

Case: Fractal Define 7

PSU: FSP Hydro X 1200W

I am pretty blown away by how the Lynk+ is performing 6 weeks+ from installing.

Even after heavy gaming for hours, its performance doesn’t differ whatsoever. I was playing games for a good few hours today and thought I’d run hwinfo to show everyone how well this beauty can perform!

605w to 675w with a temperature of 46c is absolutely incredible. Clock speeds averaging around 3150-3200 with my power connector still at a safe 41c. Easily passing 18k on steel nomad.

I honestly couldn’t be happier and highly recommend anyone wanting to switch to water cooling but without the hassle, then this is the perfect option, no maintenance and nothing but pure performance!

We worked with a new company called Lynk+ who specialize in a really unique take on quick disconnect AIO cooling for GPUs and CPUs. Utilizing their RTX 4090 Strix prototype, we figured it would do best when paired with some Noctua Chromax NF-A12's.

As we slowly sorted out what the ergonomics would be like on this ISO chassis prototype, the GPU was tall enough to fit the beast NH-D15 under the tubing with perfect fitment. With some other fun pairings like the Thermal Grizzly WireView and custom CableMod cables, this build has turned into quite a fun gaming PC that catches your attention whilst performing beautifully.

SPECS:

- LiquidHaus ISO Chassis Prototype

- Asus Strix X870I

- AMD Ryzen 7 7700X

- Kingston Fury Renegade DDR5

- Cooler Master V1100

- Custom CableMod Cables

- NH-D15 Chromax

- NF-A12 Chromax

- Lynk+ RTX 4090 Strix Prototype

- Thermal Grizzly WireView
