It’s really not rewarding. It’s fun, though, and certainly nicer than the lifeless garbage I tend to concede(as many of you also do I guess).

I didn’t start playing divisions until 5.4.0 dropped. I had no real goal at the start of it. When I dove in initially I was pleasantly surprised at how things were going. Everything from dribbling to defending was really really good. Rinsing people and actually being able to get away, easily containing the thoughtless attacks and rushed passes, blasting from range and hitting pay dirt, all of it was a revelation. Passing was iffy but when is not iffy? Anyway, it was an absolute joy to behold and playing genuinely made me happy and I took plenty of high ranking scalps during this period.

Fast forward to this week.. lol is all I have to say. As you can see by the epic fall off, absolutely NOTHING from the aforementioned list of pleasurable things work now. The only thing that walks in this game is bullshit. All of the changes that 5.4.0 brought appear to be long gone ALREADY. Dribbling is slow and shitty, defending is clunky and I can’t even keep a defender stationary because the fucking game moves my player when I take my thumb off of the left stick(it doesn’t do this when I’m on the ball though), and beating defenders in the dribble only nets frustration as recovery is crazy again, nigh inhuman. I can only think that the 5.4.1 patch notes will not serve to issue an apology to all of the cry babies who were used to winning with their bullshit for having their asses handed to them COMPREHENSIVELY for that fleeting week. Man it’s frustrating. Fuck it.

So if you feel like you’ve played two different games over these last two weeks, you’re definitely not alone. Konami has made a really bad habit out of taking good things, shitting all over them, and smearing it all in our faces.

Oh, one of the biggest tells that things are vastly different is how possession style plays. It was sublime last week. And now it’s back to static, worthless bullshit.
