My only “operational” guns in my collection being my French tabatiere rifle turned shotgun by the Belgians (left) and my 1867 dated chassepot with all the early bits still on it (right) and I say operational in quotes because the tabatiere used to have a lot of petina with all the remaining petina I couldn’t get off still in the barrel and it’s missing its firing pin. (See picture 2 for what the it originally looked like)

Could anyone help me identify the unit and any extra info on this gewehr 1871 ammo pouch?

I had bought this gewehr 1871 (or 1871/84) ammo pouch for $60 total and I’m pretty sure it still has unit markings but I’m having a tough trouble reading the unit markings if anyone can decipher them?

My plan for now is to clean the dust out of it and either use it as an ammo pouch for my chassepot or just put it on display
