Noob question; will this set up be enough?
Bit of context: completely new to Hifi. I have a couple of vinyl records that in the past I’ve just used as decoration/collectors pieces but would like to be able to start playing. I’d also like to be able to begin making the most of the lossless/dolby atmos features I have through Apple Music.
My thoughts were to buy this Tangent Ampster BT III, then buy a Wiim mini to be able to stream through Airplay for ease. I’d also buy a DAC separate as I think I’m right in thinking that Airplay alone doesn’t necessarily give me lossless audio and a wired connection to my phone would be better.
In time, I’d then invest in a decent turntable to connect to the amp. I also have a lot of CDs that I’d like to get back out, which I’m assuming I could connect to this too? It would just mean disconnecting the turntable to connect to CD player - a slight hassle but I wouldn’t be too bothered.
My plan is also to kind of use this as an all-in-one system, hence the choice to pick something with a HDMI arc to allow me to connect my TV and then I can ditch my soundbar.
Obviously need speakers too, just trying to work out whether this combination is enough to get started. Any recommendations for speakers around £150-200 would be much appreciated.
