AFA Letter Shocker… in a good way!
So I plan to post a lot in the coming weeks about my upcoming experiences on the Cebu trip. If I have time, I may even try to do it day by day. So people can kind of follow along on one person‘s journey through, what has been described in this group as, the Game of Thrones of AFA tours. Hahaha
But, I had to share with y’all a GOOD letter writing story. Before I learned from you all that the letter writing system should probably be avoided if you’re going on a tour, I purchased the $250 letter package. I have slowly been burning through that in the weeks leading up to the tour. Anyway, today I woke up to a letter from one of the women that I have been writing and attached to it was a very nice personal video. She said my name in it. She talked about topics that we have been writing to each other about… etc. it was truly nice. And, it was nice to know that the letters have, indeed, been getting to her.
I had no idea that women could send personal videos. I certainly hadn’t asked for one… And, considering the prices of the letter writing process, the cost to open the video was very reasonably priced in relation to the costs of, say, opening just a picture or a letter.
Now, am I still highly skeptical of the overall letter writing process? Definitely. Have there been times where it has felt like two completely different voices are writing letters for the same one individual? Definitely. However, I just thought I would point out one positive moment in the letter writing experience amidst all of the skepticism that I have felt towards it over the last two months. Hahaha
