Looking for advice before becoming a Bengal parent
Hello everyone,
I’ve always wanted a cat and I’m seriously considering getting a Bengal, so I’d love some advice from people who have experience with the breed.
I’m a first-time cat owner, so I want to make sure I’m making the right decision and fully understand what I’m getting into. I’d also really appreciate connecting with someone who’s open to chatting more in-depth.
A bit about me:
- I live alone in an apartment in Toronto, Ontario
- I work as a software developer (mix of office and work-from-home days)
- I’m looking for a companion I can bond with, ideally a cat that’s interactive and somewhat trainable
A few specific questions I have:
- How do Bengals do in apartments, realistically?
- Are they manageable for a first-time owner, or would you strongly recommend against it?
I’ve done some research, but I’d really value honest, real-life experiences — both the good and the bad.
