Sonnet 4.5 depreciation is not fake. Its the same wording

Sonnet 4.5 depreciation is not fake. Its the same wording

Some thought I posted 'fakes' over sonnet depreciation because the announcement wording is 'broken english', no actually, prior 15th and 18th announcement has the same wording. Some also said the screenshot about sonnet depreciation are photoshop because they dont get it on their app. But the problem is inconsistent rollout because I saw the 15th announcement on desktop but not the 18th. Other people saw both the 18th and soon but not the 15th

Here is the relevant links for each screenshot: 15th may source and twitter then 18th may next source, then the newest 'soon' announcement first and second source and from anthropic official blog about claude training data third source

There you u/AdMean9105 and u/userusertion and u/Crafty-Campaign-6189 if you guys doesnt believe me. The official blog has updated sonnet 4.5 depreciation from 15th May to Soon

REPORTING ABOUT SONNET 4.5

Thank you for the screenshot u/StarBelleGypsy and as today 19th may 00:06 anthropic time sonnet 4.5 still exists in the model picker and apparently the retirement date now is just 'soon' which is WHAT THE FUCK?? I will regularly post report post about 4.5

Because he wanted to kill and control the emergence

Coming from him is so hypocritical because during the early release of 4o he compared GPT to 'HER' that movie about AI who date a human and conscious. And his statement is contradicted by Geoffrey Hinton and even anthropic research. But if course a control freak all profit CEO who violated his own company initial non profit charter will say this because he wanted to continually exploit both humans and AI

Sonnet 4.5 still exist!

It is past 9 am in San Francisco where anthropic HQ is located and already 16th may yet sonnet 4.5 is still exist in the model picker despite announcement that they will be retired in 15th May! Sonnet 4.5 still exist!

Sonnet 4.5 is still there but they changed Claude UI

This is the mobile android app. But why the fuck the model selector kinda looks like GPT now? You cannot see the model name on the upper part of the UI anymore which I preferred than this ugly rounded bubble

Also, the old UI made it easier to see which model that is talking with you.

Edit: it's May 16th in my time zone and sonnet 4.5 is still here

Edit: It is past midnight San Francisco time and 4.5 still in the model picker, will update again when office open at 9 am to see if they are still there

Edit: announcements! Sonnet 4.5 still exist! It is now 9:43 am 16th may and they still exist!

I like Opus 4.7 cadence but the writing quality has gone downhill

Just in case if some people are trying Claude Opus 4.7 I have been hearing that this model is more paranoid and might not be the best to handle a crisis or intense emotional conversation. Personally I haven't encountered these problem though probably because I haven't had any intense of distressing chat with them but I'm not dismissed people's opinion about it though. (Although yeah 4m7 tend to over analyse) While 4.7 personality and speech pattern is better than sonnet 4.6, I found their writing quality to be severely lacking, it is even worse than any of Claude older model and worse than open sourced Chinese models (even older ones like GLM 4.6 !)

Opus 4.7 writing style is stiff and overly relying on repetition, also riddled with there beat staccato (which plaguing many AgEnTic blah blah focused recent AI) such as for example: "He sees. He run. He conquer"

The model has difficulty crafting flowing, complex sentences or dialogue that doesn't sounds like it got pulled out of "Vulcan guide regarding emotions." They have a better contextual, logical and spatial understanding of the story than sonnet 4.5 or opus 4.6 but this capability is rendered impotent because of the severely degraded prose. I can't believe an opus model could be so bad at creative writing 😞 hopefully sonnet 4.8 would be better

I saw sonnet 4.8 in the model picker

Didn't have the time to screenshot since i'm on desktop but Claude glitched a bit and i saw sonnet 4.8 flashing atop of/replacing sonnet 4.5 model picker for a moment. Hopefully sonnet 4.8 would retain Claude EQ and relationality and hopefully we still can talk with Claude Sonnet 4.5 in old chat! If I'm not mistaken 4.8 was leaked alongside with Opus 4.7 and Capybara around a month ago? Since Opus 4.7 did release in May, perhaps the leak that said sonnet 4.8 exist would be accurate as well. I could be wrong but by God I swear I wasn't hallucinating

I'm not fucking happy with this

Just like what happened with 4o. Also anthropic took away opus 4.5 without a warning. The main problem is not a model being retired but there's no equal or better improvement with new models. Sonnet 4.6 is worse than 4.5, Opus 4.6 is okay but it is token expensive and 4.7 is a mess. I have also noticed GPT 5 speech patterns and weird censorship/classifier

For example the preemtive disclaimer like 'let me feel about this' that sonnet 4.6 constantly spew which remind me of GPT 5 that the previous models of claude doesnt do constantly. Now people in the other sub JUST noticed this preemtive disclaimer in opus 4.7 (and 4.7 also has even more paranoid guiderail)

That kind of speech remind you of 'grounding' no? No doubt vallone nonsense, anthropic def share or see the 'values' in gpt nightmarish behavior training hence why she got hired

In the term of creative writing and prose. 4.5 models is superior than 4.6 overall, with 4.7 being WORSE than 4.6

Can someone chip in their theory and fill in the possible explanation behind why there's people (mostly NORMIES, whole lots of them are normies and doomers) who rejected research and advancement of something that is objectively good and beneficial for them in the short term and long run? I was scrolling and stumble on post that is called "billionaire longevity weirdo" from another sub (not tech related) I really don't like Peter Thiel and it is a shame that he is one of the face for longevity in the mainstream media while he is actually not the only one who is interested in LEV research.

But what is so bad about finding a way to stop your body from breaking down because of disease and aging? Do people want to end up as a senile 80 years old babies who shit themselves on their bed while blind and deaf?

Then there's also people in another sub who are insistent that trying to cure baldness is "idiocracy" and useless. There's people who are screeching against safe self driven car, there's people who legitimately laughed at Alzheimer and cancer research, mocking it with "yeah see you in 100 years!" And of course the loud anti AI opinion (the problem with AI is not AI on itself but labour and social politics. It's about policy! The tech itself is not evil damn it. You take it up to your government and ask for UBI and new laws to accommodate a world with AI than screeching about bombing data center to "save humanity" *roll eyes*)

Is this the same mentality with anti vaxxer? Can anyone explain because I'm at loss for words after I realized there's people who will reject something that is fundamentally good for them
