The following rulers are mentioned in the 13th Major Rock Edict of Ashoka:

• Amtiyoko — Antiochus II Theos of the Seleucid Empire
• Turamaya — Ptolemy II Philadelphus of Egypt
• Amtikini — Antigonus II Gonatas of Macedon
• Maka — Magas of Cyrene
• Alikasudaro — Alexander II of Epirus (possibly Alexander of Corinth according to some historians)

The edict dates to around 260 BC, after the Kalinga War. One of the best known versions was found at Girnar in present-day Gujarat, India.
In the inscription, Ashoka speaks about “Dharma Vijay” (victory through righteousness, non-violence and the teachings of Buddha on moral living) with envoys and teachings reaching even the kingdoms of these Greek rulers.
