I will be landing in Colombo today midnight. And will be heading to my moi talpe beach. Anybody in ahangama wanna hang and will be staying 5th night and 6th night at moi talpe , 7 th will be leaving to negombo and will be staying at jetwing beach till 9th night. Anybody wanna hang n show me around :) ( my first ever solo)

Fitness comeback after 1-month break — pace dropped, breathing issues (need advice)

Sharing a short comeback update + looking for advice.
I had a month of inconsistent eating (junk food + beer) and no running or training. I’m usually active (running, swimming, gym daily), but I fully fell off routine.
Before break:
- 5K: ~33 min
- 8K: ~54 min
- 10K: ~1:11
- Weight: ~92 kg
After break:
- Weight: 97 kg (+5 kg)
Back to running now:
- 8K yesterday: 1:05 (very breathless, had to slow/stop)
- 5K today: 45 min (breathing felt uncontrolled, couldn’t hold rhythm)
The biggest issue right now is my breathing and endurance — I get out of breath much faster than before, even at slower paces.
I know this is probably just detraining + weight gain, but I wanted to ask people who’ve been through similar situations:
- How long did it take you to regain your old pace?
- Did you focus on slow base runs, intervals, or just consistency?
- Any breathing/pacing strategies that helped early comeback phase?
Appreciate any advice — trying to rebuild properly without rushing it.
