Argentum - 2025

What lies behind those silvery eyes?
Is the moon alone and laced with scars,
stranded, drowning in a sea of stars,
a celestial anomaly with capricious reprise.

Sibling of gold but not as adored,
too pale to compete, such radiant glow,
unfit for a crown, not the star of the show,
a reflection that goes oftly ignored.

Or is the moon a keystone of the night,
the eternal adversary of the dark,
regaling under pearlescent guise,
a light insisting ghosts embark,
against the night a shine so bright.
O what lies behind those silvery eyes?
