ABC here working on the NWOHR->NWHR process. Has anyone successfully applied for a 台包證 (Taiwan compatriot pass -- apply from Taiwan) or 旅行證 (China travel document -- apply from US via the Chinese consulate) after getting their TW ID/HHR?
This would be cheaper than applying for a China visa in my US passport, but I've heard that can be problems getting China to approve the 台包證 or 旅行證 if they know you're a dual citizen (since my place of birth is listed as US).
