2019 XC60 (UK)
Dash comes on but engine won’t. Remote start works (turns the engine on), but it doesn’t let the key “take over” (not sure what the terminology is) - it just asks me to turn the knob.
Jump starting didn’t work.
Suggestions welcome whilst I try to get someone useful on the phone. Stay tuned!
Edit/Update - key fob in the spot by armrest didn’t solve either
Update 2: ignition turns on with the key but engine won’t start. Cursory AI search suggests the auxiliary battery might be the issue..?
Update 3: called someone out and no issue with either battery. No faults found with diagnostic checks. He’s a bit stumped but mentioned a possible immobiliser fault?
Anyway, it’ll be recovered to Volvo and that’ll burn a nice big hole in my pocket.
