A while ago i visited PANCAKES Amsterdam. I asked the waitress what type of pancake is the most traditional in The Netherlands. She told me a lot of people order the pannenkoek with bacon and put some type of syrup on it. I forgot what they call it in The Netherlands.

So i tried it, at first i was sceptical about adding syrup on top of bacon. But once it was there i actually loved it so much, it was the best pancake i ever had. But is this really a thing dutch people do? Mixing sweet and savoury? I really enjoyed it!
