Hello. I’m visiting from outside SA to Pretoria for my graduation this month. I have seen previous posts about taking the Gautrain from Johannesburg to Pretoria, but I’m solo and wondering whether this is the best option. I had planned to drive but I have also seen the posts about the crazy traffic.

Looking for a realistic option- I need to be at the graduation ceremony by 8:00am and plan to leave Johannesburg by 6:00am. Is this a reasonable plan? I’m going off what ChatGPT told me but looking for some real answers from locals!
