I realize that everyone has different types of migraines so this isn’t for everyone.

I get mine when it starts to get hot between 10am-1pm when I am doing labor at my job or at the gym. About 15% of the time I wake up with one but I never get one after 1pm. the Starts with an aura and you know the rest.

In April I usually always have at least three and they stop in October. Last year I had 14 and crushed me and I really made some lifestyle changes but it helped me notice the pattern.

I started taking B2 and COQ10. Every morning when I wake up I drink a 32oz electrolyte drink. Not a liquid iv, a very salty magnesium and potassium drink I make. I stay constantly hydrated. I also eat first thing in the morning (something I didn’t do before). I also bought darker sunglasses that I wear outside at all times (I feel like the bright sun can trigger them sometimes).

I don’t drink the day before if I am going to be working outside. I don’t think alcohol is a trigger but it does dehydrate. At night I also have another electrolyte drink. I also cut out all dairy.

I managed to have my first migraine free April in a decade.

I do think stress plays a large factor too but as long as I can keep all these other things in check my brain doesn’t get overwhelmed or overheats.

I don’t know what worked but a combo of these things has so far for me.
