Help deciphering the name on a 1862 Civil War letter

I was provided with a transcription of the letter and separate page with soldier info, but they don't match. The transcribed name is listed as Walter Decker. The soldier info lists him as William W. Decker, Co. F, 125th NY Infantry, but I can't find a Decker in that regiment and it's clearly not William. Any guesses would be appreciated. If it helps, his wife or girlfriend is Emma, he was in DC around the time of the battle of Antietam, and, based on his association with Kalbfus, he likely was in the 125th NY Infantry.

This is a repost, but I've included images of the whole letter for writing reference. The letter was super faded, so the images have been tweaked for better readability. The signature was cleaned up due to cross writing.
