Our neighborhood uses Chloramine in the water, which is rated as being very hard with high alkalinity. We have a salt filter installed and it’s been great for lime scale etc. BUT the girls have dyed hair and the alkaline is stripping their hair / turning it red.
So, now I’m being asked to figure out how to get the whole house alkalinity down or if there’s some kind of RO shower system.
Help would be much appreciated!
