I'm making this post in due to the fact after playing multiple rounds, I realized that there are ways to get to 1st place (most of the time, that is). here's a few helpful tips!

1. I found out that you get a very fast, but short speed burst if you toggle 3 speed pads in quick succession, followed by a hoverboard with the super super speed attribute
2. If you're in 1st place (or any place for that matter) and your opponent attempts to slime you out with that Pogo Pop attack, toggle your hoverboard (if its been charged up) that has the super jump attribute. The super jump will straight up DODGE/EVADE that opponents pogo stick, thus making you unaffected whilst making your opponent probably dumbfounded. Note: you have to time it pretty well, otherwise, you take the hit and lose your hoverboard.
3. ALWAYS watch those ads for 2x trophies & 2x batteries. I don't need to explain much as for why you should for this one.
4. time your hoverboard usage. this one kind of goes on par with #1 but here's the difference: when you at the last part of the race, save up the hoverboard for that part and use it after hitting those 3 speed pads, often giving you a W in the bags (most of the time)
5. Remember that the bubble shield is literally a get out of jail free card. this also holds true for the hoverboard. this essentially means you get 2 free hits without repercussions
6. TRY to predict where your opponents will switch lanes to while you have the that power glove (energy ball thrower). basically, try to guess where your opponent will be at so that you can time your hit to hopefully fuck them up
7. If you got the Go Go Kart, save it until you get to the 3/4 mark. this way when you activate it, you get a pretty decent distance gap
8. For the Foam Blaster, try using it in areas where there's going to be a lot of lane switching part (this hold very true for the pillars part)

okay so we, as surfers, have been running for the past 14 years and it seems like there's some sort of mystery regarding the guard/inspector

1st thing being that, what does the Guard's eyes even look like? cuz like all we see is a green hat, a bushy stache that can rival's Mario's stache, a bulbous nose, but no eyes present?

2nd thing being that since he's been on our asses, chasing us down the subway station for the past 14 years without ever so losing the any weight (well, he did look somewhat skinner in the city game) ?

Okay so since SYBo games x Angry Birds 2 did a collaboration to make some new characters for us. I wondered why only make 2 characters (not including the board). So I have came up with some idea for other characters AND how to unlock 'em. (side note: all of their running animations will emit the respective colors for each individual bird)

The blues --> Represented by a blue hoodie with the bird's face on it with 2 additional blue blue plushies on the character's shoulders (to represent that blue's ability is multiplication)
How to unlock: the only way to unlock this characters is by doing a new challenge! This new challenge will be Slippery tracks. It's kind of like that One Run Challenge, but with the ground being icy, making it trickier to change lans upon an incoming train/other obstruction. The top of the train carts are also slippery. you'll need to score 4.5 million in order to unlock it.

Hal (boomerang bird) --> Represented with a green hoodie and a long ass bill
How to unlock: you can unlock this character by bringing back the invert controls event! if you've played the Easter Ireland event then you'll know what I meant. Since Hal's ability is to act like a boomerang, the controls for this event will be inverted (swipe left, it becomes right, and vise versa) . Score 3 million to unlock

Bomb --> represented with a black hoodie with a fuse on the top, hence giving a resemblance to a bomb.
How to unlock --> you can unlock this character after completing a new event known as Marathon HARD mode. this mode is just like marathon. but with a few twists:
* hoverboards are BANNED (no using as it won't let you)
* you cannot use any boosters (multipliers + head starts)
* the speed of trains are very fast, requiring fast reaction time + quick timing
* if you get hit even once, the guard will apprehend you
* you get no revives (can't watch an ad or use a key)
you'll need to score a total of 10 million points to unlock

Matilda --> represented by a white hoodie with a bulging nose. she'll be accompanied an egg on her shoulder during a run
How to unlock --> you can unlock her via showdown at the 210 trophy mark

okay I genuinely might be tweaking out but like I've been seeing these usernames that being starting with "Cruising" or "Stellar" followed by some random ass generic human name.
mind you, these usernames aren't followed by the word "bot"😭

okay so since every season comes with event coins, and also comes with some exclusive characters/boards that can be brought with event coins, I've figure out the TOTAL AMOUNT of event coins needed to buy all of the characters/boards. lets begin 👆🏽🤓 (NOTE: event coins will be abbreviated as EC)

* The Circuit Bunny board is 12,500 EC (maybe less since I've already brought this board before coming up with this prompt)

* The Bomb-Bastic board is 22,000 EC

* The Lawrence character is 26,000 EC

* The Hali character is 28,000 EC

* The Sean Snow character is 46,000 EC

So put them all together and you get 134500 in total

So that means you need 134,500 EC just to unlock the exclusive characters/boards

Correct me if I'm wrong here as Bruno prob costs EC as well but I've unlocked him from the previous showdown mode

Even though this update is literally only like a few hours old as I'm typing this (or, well, typed this out), I think there's some strong opinions about the characters we are given to collect.

* Sean snow (we've seen this dude from Xtreme winter sports season before which is crazy cuz like during that Xtreme winter sports season, he was locked up doing double time behind a paywall, and now we get him again but this time can be brought with event coins like what?)
