Ich möchte an einer Etappe der diesjährigen Großseglerregatten teilnehmen. Genauer gesagt möchte ich auf der „Sørlandet“ mitsegeln, die vom 5. bis 13. Juli von Harlingen (Niederlande) nach Antwerpen (Belgien) segeln wird. Ich habe versucht, eine Versicherung zu finden, die das Segeln auf See und alle Aktivitäten an Bord eines Großseglers (Umgang mit der Takelage, Wachen, Segelhandhabung, Mastklettern usw.) abdeckt, war bisher jedoch erfolglos. Ich bin Nicht-EU-Bürger und lebe und arbeite in Deutschland. Bisher habe ich DKV, HanseMerkur, Allianz und AXA geprüft und nichts gefunden, was meinen Anforderungen entspricht. Viele Versicherungen decken Kreuzfahrten ab, aber ich bin auf nichts gestoßen, was ausdrücklich das Segeln auf einem Großsegler erwähnt, da dies als Sport-/Abenteueraktivität gilt. Es ist möglich, dass ich einige Informationen übersehen habe, da mein Deutsch nicht so gut ist. Interessanterweise hat HanseMerkur zwar eine englische Website, aber einige Versicherungen werden in der englischen Version im Vergleich zur deutschen einfach nicht angezeigt. Ich habe ihnen geschrieben und meine Situation erläutert, aber noch keine Antwort erhalten.

Hat jemand von euch es geschafft, eine passende Versicherung für die Art von Aktivität zu finden, die ich unternehmen möchte? Könnten mir vielleicht diejenigen von euch helfen, die schon einmal auf der Alexander von Humboldt II gesegelt sind oder in Kiel an Bord eines Großseglers gesegelt sind? Vielen Dank im Voraus!

I have been trying to find an insurance that covers sea sailing and every activity aboard a tallship (handling rigging, watches, climbing masts, etc.) it but have been unsuccessful so far. I am a non-EU national living and working in Germany. So far I have checked DKV, HanseMerkur, Allianz and AXA and not found something that can cover what I need. Many insurances cover cruises but I have not come across anything explicitly mentioning tallship sailing as that is considered a sport/adventure activity. It is possible that I may have overlooked some information as my German is not that good. Interestingly, HanseMerkur does have their website in English but some insurances are simply not shown in their English version in comparison to the German one. I have written to them clarifying my situation but have not received any response yet.

Has anyone of you from Germany managed to get a fitting insurance for the type of activity I wish to undertake? Those of you who may have sailed on the Alexander von Humboldt II or sailed in Kiel aboard a tallship could help me perhaps? Thanks in advance!
