Really miss this guy. My fav player on the ballclub during his time with the Redlegs. He could’ve hit .100 for all I care, he’s a ballplayer in every sense of the word. There was seldom a game where his uniform wasn’t dirty by the end of it during his time in Cincy. I remember specifically during the euphoric two weeks that was that 12 game winning streak, at some point I acquired a garden rake and put a Reds hat and sweater on it, with a sign that read “Rake Fraley” (photo has been lost to history).

Great to hear his daughter is in remission, very touching moment during the broadcast today when Jim Day was telling the story and got all choked up.

Thanks for the memorie Rake, long live the Viking.
