Hi everyone,
I own a Kawasaki Versys 650 2019 and for the past few months I’ve consistently noticed a slight burning smell after riding. The smell has basically stayed the same the whole time and hasn’t gotten worse.
I already took the bike to the dealership/workshop to have it checked because I was worried about it, but they told me everything was fine and that they couldn’t find any issue with the motorcycle.
The bike runs perfectly:
• no warning lights
• no smoke
• normal temperature
• performance feels completely fine
The smell seems to come mainly from the exhaust/catalytic converter area, especially after the bike gets hot in city traffic or after a longer ride. It smells a bit like oil or plastic burning.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of burning smell coming from the exhaust/cat area on their Versys 650?
Did you ever figure out what caused it, or was it just normal heat/smells from the bike?
Thanks!
