Please Give Me the Words -Cargo Tray Safety

Hello! I am currently having an ongoing dispute with my husband, and I need a way to explain to him that driving a car with a cargo tray necessitates driving differently than he is used to.

The problem: my husband does not take bends in the road smoothly. Instead, he jerks the car multiple times during a curve in the road to achieve the turn. This is annoying to experience when we are driving canyons with dozens of hairpin turns with a normal vehicle with no load. However, it turns EXTREMELY uncomfortable for me when we have a cargo tray attached to the hitch and loaded (within parameters) for a trip.

I have tried to explain to him over and over that it is dangerous, and that the physics will encourage the rear of our car to control our trajectory, but he never listens and acts like I am just an overly anxious person. If this is a case of me being high-strung, I would like unbiased opinions here to talk me down.

If, however, this is an dangerous as I think it is, please provide me with the words to break through to him. I don't want to do a road trip entirely by myself and just need to break through to him.

Thank you!
