Looking for help with a basement water leak. The wet spots on the basement wall are located above ground level. We noticed that the wall will only get wet spots when it is a heavy, windy rain. If the rain is coming down straight with no wind we do not get water. The wall is directly under the front door.

We have done the following to resolve the problem and each have been unsuccessful.

- Replaced front door

- Had a mason caulk all seams where concrete stoop and stairs meet brick.
