If you are a Coop member, please join members and staff who are pushing to move the upcoming votes (on boycott and supermajority rules) from the general meeting floor to a referendum — an electronic ballot emailed to every member.
Why it matters: A referendum is truly "one member, one vote". Members can vote asynchronously, from anywhere — not just those who can attend the meeting in person. This lets the full Coop community weigh in on major decisions, instead of a small group setting our direction.
What to do:
- Register at foodcoop.com to attend virtually
- Join the next general meeting: Tuesday, May 26
- Vote YES to referendum when prompted
