Created a r/CapeCellularReferrals

On top of my pinned post Referral Coordination - Moderators please pin "sticky" this post if it is correct I made a reddit specifically for Cape Cellular referrals r/CapeCellularReferrals . You must post in the format in the megathread and simply follow the rules.

Additionally to avoid referral codes being posted like a revolving door you must be approved. The price of admission is to use one referral code that has already been posted. You will need to provide screenshot evidence to the person that referred you so they can vouch for you.

Referral codes can only be used at initial first sign-up. Only new accounts.

So if you feel like paying full price $79 or be just one persons referral and paying $59 be my guest. For those looking to save please spread the word.

Could someone please verify my math here?

Base price is $99/month always taxes and fees are always included. For each referral its $20 bill credit EACH MONTH both ways. Then for each referral it would be $79/month.

Wouldn't be more prudent for the person sending out the referrals to offer some extra personal incentive separate from the discount such as some portion of one-time reimbursement for those who use their code since they could eventually get it for free or significantly reduced? I say one-time because it gives the referrals some incentive to get people to use their code as well. I've explain that logic in great detail here.

For example as a comparison Visible another MVNO offers standard general service like every other competitor except like Cape Cellular taxes and fees included at $25/month. I have another post talking about all of Cape Cellular features that set them apart here.

Even if you were to get 3 referrals making it $39/month for the person referring. That's $14/month more with way more security features. The value for me at least is there.

With reference to the referral system I have a post here explaining why it's better to work together rather than act in the self-interest and work alone.

If you’re still looking for other referrals to lower your monthly bill I have a proposition for you. Please DM/PM me. Make sure you mention Cape Cellular so I know. I’m the reddit user with the pinned/sticky post “Referral Coordination” in r/CapeCellular**.**

It would seem most would like to go it alone! I'd rather coordinate so that we can maximize the amount of people getting "FREE" service.

I'm willing to make it worth your while for using my code. Just to clarify I messaged Cape Customer Support and asked "if offering an extra incentive of my own referral code would violate terms of service?" and they replied "no it will not." This only works with trust!

Just to clarify people with existing service (referral codes) will have to make a new account. As you cannot use a referral code if you already have active service. As it can only be applied at initial first month of service.

I only extend this offer to those who already decided you’re going to be using Cape Cellular in the foreseeable future. My plan is to set it and forget it. I have no intention of leaving the service, unless it shuts down, service declines, gets acquired or revokes this promotional offer.

This is a message to the community, prospective customers and especially employees/owners/operators/investors of Cape Mobile. First of all great service!

When trying the first month of service using the promotional code “TRYCAPE30” you get the first month only of service for $30 even. Taxes and fees are always included. No hidden surprises ever. Like any other month taxes and fees are always included, BUT at a different rate then the first month introductory offer.

Short-term you can cycle by alternating to another carrier every other month. Keeping the introductory rate of $30 for the first month, only every other month. Porting either out or in is so easy a cave man can do it once you learn. Or get a fresh new number when making an account.

In order to prevent abuse of this incredible offer I would like to bring the following solution(s) to the attention to the people at Cape Cellular.

Essentially blacklisting indefinitely OR disabling for a set period for numbers that have been ported-in recently. A cool-down period if you will. Cape Cellular defines RECENTLY & set period.

For new customers the only viable solution would be name and zip-code as they are the only unique identifier’s that you require. That presents a dilemma as they are tokenized and only used for payment processing which is handled by stripe. Maybe some type of cryptography/backend solution just to check if the new subscriber is really a genuine “new” subscriber.

Long-term the only solution is 5 referrals equaling free service for the referee. Then for each of those referrals can refer 4 others getting their service to be free as well. The cycle can continue as long as everyone can fill up their referral slots.

Cape Cellular could you create a page or subreddit on your website for open slots in groups so that people can find each other more efficiently? Or even an independent site which is referenced on your home site. The referral system is similar to Visible Wireless - Inner Circle. Here is an example of Visible Inner Circle Reddit. It would have more legitimacy coming from you.

I want this company to grow, gain and retain subscribers. Other ways a business grows is listening to the customer base which in this community Cape Cellular does.

Thank you for your attention in this matter! Have a nice day!

I'm making this post to create a coordinated referral community. As it stands at the time of this posting everyone is just posting their referral codes in other posts/comments in this reddit thread not knowing if they are already filled or even if others are using their codes.

Explanation of the Referral System:

The Referee/Primary needs 5 referrals/secondaries for the Primary in the group service to have free service each month.

Once a Referee/Primary has a group of 5 referrals/Secondaries; each of those secondaries becomes a primary of another group and only need 4 (four) referrals/secondaries for their service to become free, so the cycle continues.

Hypothetically, if the Primary were to cancel service the referrals would still receive their $20 bill credit as long as they continue being a paid uninterrupted customer.

Hypothetically, if the Secondary/Referrals were to cancel the Primary would stop receiving their $20 monthly bill credit. It will be reflected in the next billing cycle, but you could fill a spot before that. Just as usual get someone to use your referral code.

In order for this to work long-term in the comments use this format:

Primary or Secondary (Referral Code)

Need: #

_________________________________________________________________________

Example #1

Primary (SBX234Y4)

Need: 5

________________________________________________________________________

Example #2

Secondary (SBX234Y4)

Need: 4

https://cape.co/get-cape?referral=SBX234Y4

________________________________________________________________________

In the hierarchy it's better to be a Secondary/Referral, because you only need 4 referrals versus a primaries 5 referrals. Additionally, if a primary leaves you still get the one ($20) monthly bill credit from them. The only time you lose a $20 bill credit is when a referral leaves.

If four of your referrals ($20 each) leave then you lose $80 in bill credits each month.

If three of your referrals ($20 each) leave then you lose $60 in bill credits each month.

If two of your referrals ($20 each) leave then you lose $40 in bill credits each month.

If one of your referrals ($20 each) leave then you lose $20 in bill credits each month.

You are able to fill a spot before next billing cycle just once again referral someone using your code.

Please edit your posts to full once you have gotten all of your referrals. You are only allotted 5 referrals at a $20 bill credit each month. Once you fill 5 referrals or meet the $100 threshold you will not get anymore credits. You can pay it forward!

This carrier is for the Privacy minded.

I love that fact that this MVNO even exists! It has all these great features built into the network. To even go further they support Graphene OS the open source version of android and will get more popular with its partnership with Motorola. When signing up for a new Cape account you get to pick from either a 6 months of Proton Unlimited or VPN for a $1. Keep in mind that offer is only available to those who create a new account on that page when you click the link through the Cape App. A New freshly created Proton accounts only. If you already have a Proton Account the offer will not work for it.

All that Cape asks from you is:

  1. Regardless if you're porting in or getting a fresh new number they require form of payment either credit/debit cards currently. Which of course can be pre-paid as long as the balance covers the bill. Taxes and fees are always included. Your payment information is kept separate meaning that the sensitive components are not stored together in a single location. Stripe handles the actual card details, while Cape only receives the token, which cannot be mapped to your real credit card number. Cape is working towards accepting cryptocurrency in the future.

First of all, as a subscriber there is Minimal Data Collection. No SSN & no addresses. All they ask for credit/debit card information (Name, Card # & Expiration Date) and a billing zip code for payment processing. Which of course can be pre-paid as long as the balance covers the bill. Taxes and fees are always included.

Second, as a subscriber you get not ONE, but TWO secondary numbers that are NOT VoIP. Yes I'll repeat that again to clarify to did not read that wrong the secondary numbers are NOT VoIP. (Ex. Google Voice). Meaning, yes, you can use them for two-step verification (2FA). Such as WhatsApp, Social Media, retailers, notifications, food/delivery orders etc. - anything its limitless. You have the option of getting new secondary numbers, but there is a waiting period before receiving new ones. You can pick which state and pre-fix area code. You pay which means you own it. No one can take it away from you. Keep in mind that these secondary numbers are limited to text only at the time of this post.

Third, as a subscriber you get SIM Swap protection. This isn't your typical SIM swap protection. For those with crypto wallets think of recovery phrases. A 24-word phrase that generates a private key tied to your phone number. It's the only way to move your number to another device or carrier. Cape never sees it, never stores it, and no one, not even Cape can move your number without it. Way more sophisticated than a normal standard mundane six digit code.

Fourth, as a subscriber you get Encrypted Voicemail. Each voicemail is encrypted on arrival and can only be decrypted by the private key stored on your device. Even if someone gains access to Cape’s backend systems, your messages can’t be listened to.

Fifth, as a subscriber you get you Disappearing Call logs that disappear after 1 Day.

Sixth, Identifier Rotation. Each SIM card has a unique identifier known as a IMSI, which it uses to register with cellular networks. Most carriers assign a fixed IMSI that stays the same for the life of the account. Making it easier for advertisers, surveillance, rogue cell towers or any kind of observer to track and identify you. Cape being a MVNO and only supports eSIM can automatically rotate this IMSI every 24 hours. Making you look like a new subscriber every day. Making it more difficult for anyone to follow your movements or associate your presence with a single identifier. Going hand in hand with minimal data collection.

All of these features are standard. Offered in their only package. Taxes and fees are included. You can even get the service for free if you refer others. Each referral is $20 for you and $20 for them. If you refer 5 others then you would receive $100 in bill credits. As long as your referral remains a subscriber you will receive those bill credits EACH month. The limit is 5 referrals. Once you hit the limit of 5 you will receive no more credits. If any one of your referrals leave you will lose that credit and your total monthly discount will adjust in your NEXT billing cycle.

With that being said my referral code is: SBX234Y4

No information is being shared that is why I am confidently posting my referral code. In layman's terms this would be a family plan in the traditional sense. That you can share with random people on the internet as long as they like a cheap phone that just works. And remain a concurrent subscriber. If you know or want to make use of these additional features it's just an added bonus.

Just to note people who DO HAVE THE SERVICE (a paid subscriber) would be the only ones to have a referral code. There are no free trials which the implore the employees/owners/investors over at Cape Cellular not to do!!! This is a great service which speaks for itself. Let the customer/user/subscriber/community do the marketing by word of mouth! Let the reviews speak for themselves.

*WARNING*

If for whatever reason you stop paying/using this service you will have 60 days to port out. You will need that 24-word phrase to port out. If you lose it no one not even Cape Cellular will be able to recover it for you.
