Adopting and rescuing a 9 month English Labrador retriever.

I need recommendation, thoughts on your opinions. Before I am fully committed because there’s no turning back… I am 60% on adopting an injured nine month Labrador retriever. let me explain, I know someone who is a fully licensed AKC Labrador retriever breeder, and she got in touch with me today that someone wants returned the puppy back to the breeder after being with them for 7 months because they can’t afford the time and possible medical bills. She took the male pup back, not in good shape was 90 pounds, had a pretty bad injury from falling from a dock fence. Had a very tough time walking from his back legs when she took him in, the vet mentioned he possibly has torn both back ACL. The puppy has been with a breeder again for nearly 3.5 weeks and has seen quite improvement, there’s been strengthening on his legs. Looks like swimming has played an incredible factor for recovery, but will need to reevaluate next week to see if any complications like if ACL is indeed a concern. The dog needs to be walked on a leash cannot rough play or be out running around. The fact that the puppy has gotten a lot of strength back from the injury has been a positive sign, but what’s holding me up is definitely the awaiting results for the puppy to get seen again. She did warn me that there may be possible future complications down the line so this is more of a rescue adoption. I really want to take the responsibility, but I would really like your guys opinion before I fully commit.
