Brought my car in for an oil change and my mechanic said my brake rotors and pads need to be changed, car is relatively new
Need some help knowing if my brakes need to be changed. I know barely anything about cars and I’m afraid my mechanic is trying to take advantage. I know they definitely look off from OEM but I’m not sure what I’m looking at (besides the black spots that definitely shouldn’t be there).
Edit: Jeez I didn’t think I’d get responses this quick- thank you so much for everyone patience and knowledge. I’ll get them changed out immediately. Will also consider changing how I drive-
(also to those asking, it’s a 2023, I live in Canada, I don’t think I ride the brakes but clearly I’m wrong)
