Favorite Character From The Wire?

The Wire has an ensemble cast of characters that all make their impression on the show. As the tagline says "All The Pieces Matter". So, I'm sure we've all got a favorite. So, who's yours, and why?

For me, I know it's probably cliche, but I might go with McNulty. He's the kind of balls-to-the-wall workhorse that every workplace and office needs. He literally sacrificed his and his coworker's careers on a fake serial killer case just to get the BPD to focus on Marlo Stanfield and his crew. Other favorites of mine include Bunk, Cedric, Bubbles, Kima, Slim Charles, and, of course, Omar.

Favorite Playoff Crowd Reaction From A Different Team?

So, I guess that the last one wasn't my last of this series. Sorry if I misled you. Anyway.

I'm sure we all have moments and seasons from different teams that we have a soft spot for. This one is about playoff crowd reactions. So, which of these from a different team is your all-time favorite, and why?

For example, it's damn near impossible for me to pick a favorite. There's way too many good ones to choose from. But some strong examples include George Springer's Game 7 homer from last year, Geno Suárez's grand slam from that same series, Lindor and Freeman's grand slams from 2024, Yordan's homer in Game 6 in 2022, the Braves winning the pennant in 2021, Altuve and Correa's homers from Game 5 in 2017, Justin Turner's walk-off from that same year, both of the Blue Jays walk-offs to advance in 2016, Nelson Cruz's walk-off slam in 2011, Eric Hinske's NLDS homer in 2010, Gonzo's floater in 2001, and Joe Carter's walk-off World Series winner in 1993.

Bullpen Moves That Would've Made More Sense?

Every now and then, we see a bullpen move totally backfire, when a more reasonable move would've probably saved the day. So, which of these sticks out to you the most, and why?

For example, I know that Britton over Jiménez will probably dominate the replies, but I've got a more obscure example to discuss. In the bottom of the 8th in 2021 NLCS Game 2, Snitker went to Luke Jackson, and let him face Cody Bellinger up 5-2, with 2 runners on and one away. Bellinger then corked a 3-run bomb to tie the game. And since their closer Will Smith was perfect in save opps, and didn't give up a single run the entire playoffs, it would've honestly been a no-brainer to bring him in. But for some reason, Brian Snitker never felt the need to give his closer the 8th inning, so he stuck with Jackson, and Jackson blew the game. The Braves could've had a sweep over a 106-win Dodger team if they went to Smith.
