Denied va claim but given army retirement from medboard?

I just started going through my old va denial records for ptsd. I was to mentally unstable to even care that I was denied. Years later I have decided to go through my army records. I found my Behavioral health line of duty determination form and it states that I have ptsd and has a diagnosis of ptsd that happened in the line of duty. My informal physical evaluation board (peb) proceeding form also simply described my traumatic event and diagnosis of ptsd and my rating for permeant disability. I have a letter of unexcused absences plus a s3 profile. Do I need to provide this as evidence or will the va have this? Does this even matter that the army says I have ptsd and the va says I don’t ? I have history of treatment records and inpatient stays. Lots of my personal hospital treatment notes suck because they always mess up dates or take what you say wrong. I also got denied because I didn’t know I had to talk about the event. I asked if we could skip that part. I didn’t know I had to talk about all that details. This time if I do intent to file I will include my personal statement of the event. Anyone else have similar experiences or advice ?
