I occasionally post interesting checkmates I encounter in real games. Here's a mate in 5.

[Solution] >!Kaku 7 x 1 Check. King captures Bishop 7 x 1. Rook 7 x 2 Check.. King 6 x 1. Rook (promotes) or Horse captures 6 x 2 checkmate. The key is that by forcing the King to the 7 x 1 square, the Horse pins the Gold General at 6 x 2 so the Gold General cannot capture the Rook placed on 7 x 2.!<
