Cloud saves (Gog)?

Hi team,

I have run three different versions of the plugin (0.5.6, 0.6.0, and 0.6.1), on two different distros (CachyOS, Bazzite), on two different pieces of hardware (Rog Ally, desktop PC), and cloud saves for my Gog games have never worked. No error messages or anything like that, no pop-ups indicating that it's attempting to sync cloud saves, etc. I have of course made a good-faith effort to research the issue myself, but there's very little discussion on this topic--just a single reddit thread with very few comments (one person asking if they need to do anything to enable it, another person asking if anything is required to enable, and a third person reminding folks that it is indeed a beta feature).

I fully recognize that this is a beta feature, but I still figured it can't hurt to ask, because this would be a huge quality-of-life upgrade for me, given that I do indeed use both a desktop and a handheld. It would be fantastic to be able to seamlessly switch between the two pieces of hardware for my Gog games, much like I can with my Steam games!

Thanks for any tips!

Hey team,

Without going into too much detail on the PC side, I am considering connecting my S90D to a switchable outlet and occasionally cutting power to the TV. Basically I have an annoying little problem with my multi-monitor setup, and at this point I've conceded that the operating system simply doesn't support my desired workflow, especially given that the TV still broadcasts its EDID and whatnot when it's in standby. So I'm considering going with the nuclear option and simply cutting power to the TV as part of my workflow for achieving my desired behavior (I've also considered going with an HDMI splitter device to cut the HDMI signal when desired, but unfortunately the options are either low-cost switches that don't reliably support high-bandwidth HDMI, or higher-quality switches that capture the EDID and continue sending it to the source even when that HDMI port is disabled via the switch, meaning it doesn't solve my problem).

I would of course default to providing power to the TV and keeping it in standby when I'm not using the TV or PC (overnight, through the workday, etc.) so that the panel care features could continue to operate as normal. So it's more a question of whether it's safe to habitually cut power to the TV.

Thanks for any input!

Hey y'all,

Shopping for screen protectors is a bit challenging given that many of us are rocking devices with resistive touch screens, rather than capacitive. Screen protectors are generally glass these days, which works great for capacitive touch screens, but not so much for resistive touch screens.

I'm looking for a screen protector for my newly-acquired iPaq h4150/4155. It's a fairly typical 3.5" 4:3 Pocket PC screen. There's plenty of 3.5" 4:3 screen protectors on the market, but like I said, most of them are glass (geared towards modern emulation-focused gaming handhelds a la /r/SBCGaming). And even more annoyingly, many of them have rounded corners.

Does /r/OldHandhelds have a "go-to" screen protector recommendation for this form factor? Specifically, 3.5" 4:3 with sharp corners, and made of thin plastic, rather than glass?

Thanks!
