Christmas in Minnesota?

Ok, so I'm watching the movie length LH Bless All the Dear Children, 1984, and they're saying it's Christmas time. What? The trees have leaves, and the flowers are blooming. This is too much. The episode starts out with snow-covered pine trees and mountains, etc. Lol. I'm sure this episode is filmed in So Cal, but this is pretty funny. There aren't mountains like that in southern Minnesota, and there wouldn't be leaves on trees at Christmas. My Grandpa told me when I was a kid that he wouldn't watch LH because there weren't mountains/hills like that on a true prairie. (?) I always thought he was nit picking, but....

Thanks for letting me vent!
