Where can I dump 250k and forget about it?

33M

I don't have any kind of retirement account with anyone.

No partner, no kids, no need to touch the money anytime soon.

Selling a 4 unit rental property and I should clear 250 after taxes, commissions, etc.

Don't want to 1031.

I want to put the money into 'the market' but I'm overwhelmed with the options. Vanguard, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, various Robinhood/Webull type apps, etc.

Do I put everything with 1 provider?

90% mutual fund, 10% HYSA?

I'm working 60 hour weeks and also trying to start a business, so I don't have time to watch the money every day/week. I just want to set it and forget it, as the 2000s infomercials used to say.

can someone just PLEASE explain to me --- HOW do millionaires/billionaires pay so little in taxes?

This is not a troll post.

I'm literally trying to figure out exactly what I need to do, to do what they do.

I know they write things off and setup different companies in different regions/locales, but like specifically, what do I need to do???? It's very vague.

Do I need a special kind of CPA??? The ones I've had have not given me any special information, or maybe I didn't know what questions to ask. I'm just tired of slaving away all year and bending over for uncle Sammy every April 15th.

Thinking about selling a rental property, capital gains TAX. (I know about 1031 exchanges). Thinking about putting those proceeds into a vanguard VOO or something similar, where I'll be TAXED on the gains whenever I withdraw.

HYSA? TAXED

Like seriously, HOW do they do it??????

Do I need to find some shady accountant that works with the mob??? Joking, but only half...
