anyone have any experience or opinions on the CM-1? Just wondering how it stacks up against the cloud lifter for my sm7b. I have it currently going into my uad apollo twin and im using the unison pre (Manley voxbox). and when I turn up the gain I get a slight hiss. (this is less noticeable when using the regular pre)

The problem could be my gain staging. I have the gain and input knob turned to max to get a decent level aiming for around -18dbfs to -16dbfs with no other plugins in the chain. if you guys see any issues in this let me know.

if the gain staging isn't the problem then Im thinking of buying a cloudlifter or inline mic booster and just wanted your guys opinion.

Hey guys hope you're all doing good, I'm in the market to upgrade my vocal mic. My current vocal chain is my sm7b running into my UAD Apollo twin x using the unison pre (Manley Voxbox). My room is decently treated. My budget for the mic under €1600. I mainly record pop, RNB, worship/ gospel music.

I have a couple mics in mind, Lauten Audio FC -387 (Atlantis), Warm Audio WA47 Tube, Warm Audio WA8000, AKG C414 Xlii.

Just want your guys opinion on this or if you have some alternative suggestions. if any of you guys have any experience with any of these mics please let me know, Thank you
