I love panel shows and have felt a certain amount of pride over being able to decipher British dialect and slang based on context clues.
That said, i didn't know that sledging is what we call sledding in the US. I always thought Lee's story in that "this is my" segment meant that his neighbor John had some sort of accident with a sledge hammer. I couldn't figure out why kids were involved. When i did learn the truth it made so much more sense to me.
Anyone else ever misunderstand a story?
