Meant to be used in conjunction with u/karyoplasma's Desecrator mod, this has been my latest attempt to try to create a softcoded version of D2R's Sunder charms! Using Conviction as a base, it works in the most broad sense that it indeed breaks Immunities. Sometimes.
These things run into an incredible host of issues such as
-The Sunders function as Auras; if playing with other people, everyone will benefit from the effect, not just the holder.
-Turning any nonimmune mobs into wet tissue paper, as reducing Immunes down by -7% means plunging regular mobs down by -35%; much higher than something like a Griffon's.
-Not breaking Immunities higher than 110; at least not without jacking Non-Immunes down to like, -85 instantly
-Not being able to self penalize your own resistances beyond -50%; no combination I tried seemed to fix this
-Can't set PDR to negatives unfortunately
-The Magic Sunder just outright can't have negative Magic Resist for some reason, even though Magic Resist is coded the same way as the other elemental resistances???
In the end though, they do indeed open up a few more builds, with Fire Builds seeing a lot of options for anything below 125 Fire Res when combined with Infinity - even though anything not immune instantly explodes.
Anyways, my amateur modder ass has run out of ideas to try, so if anyone has recommendations or guides, softcoded or otherwise, please let me know. And if someone has done this already, please send me their work, I am begging you.
honestly reconsidering that whole "save alfira for the potent robe" thing my durge had goin on
Basically the title. I'm trying to make bootleg Sunder Charms for an LoD mod, and my best attempts (Conviction copies that target a singular resistance) leave much to be desired - specifically, they aren't powerful enough to break most higher immunities, while also completely trivializing any non immune mobs they run into, due to the 1/5th penalty.
Couldn't find anything on PhrozenKeep, so any resources help!
