California REHS LetterTranscript question

I graduate on May 17th, and there is currently an EHS position open in my county! I was told it takes several weeks after graduation for transcripts to update, and im worried about the job closing before I get a chance to apply/get the letter, which also takes several weeks. I do plan to contact the county to ask, but i was also wondering if anybody had any experience with a similar situation? Is it possible to still get the letter allowing you to work if your transcript doesnt yet state you have your degree? or is there something else i should try?

Hi!

I am a current college senior about to graduate in less than 2 weeks. There is a job opening for an environmental health specialist position, which states I need the REHS letter of eligibility. I understand that I need to have graduated in order to be eligible, but I was told to still apply for the letter right now?

I know that the letter will say im ineligible as is because I havent graduated yet, but I was wondering since the evaluation process takes so long, if theres any benefit in doing the application part now, then have my documents re-evaluated once ive graduated. Does the re-evaluation take a shorter amount of time compared to that first initial evaluation?
