I’m desperate for a job, ideally I want to do something admin based but I’ve been a SAHM for 15 years so basically unemployable, time is running out and I need a full time job by next month (our mortgage is up for renewal in October and my husband went self employed in August so won’t be eligible for a mortgage) I’ve been searching since September and not even had a single interview.

In desperation I applied to the local chicken factory (Noble Foods) and they emailed me to tell me the hours. Standard hours are 9am - 5.30pm but if required you must work an extra 2 hours overtime. So I emailed back to ask if it was a common occurrence and they responded “It is when required” then invited me for a factory tour.

I feel like that’s a very vague answer and a way of saying that OT will be ‘more often than not’ and I’ll regularly be working 10+ hour days. Anyone else get that vibe?

Update, we did it!! I’ll have one very pleased child later on in the morning 😅

Will this be detrimental to my PS5 to leave it running for 24hrs as a one off? It has pretty decent ventilation and I recently cleaned it out not that long ago. It should be okay, right?!

Specifically this dog, she’s a Staffy (Staffordshire bull terrier) and is being put down on Friday. I’ve been asked by a friend of her owner if I’d be able to make a crochet version of her as a gift and the only staffy patterns I can find are crap or AI!
