Triumph Trident 660 2021 — Coolant Temp Warning need help

Hey all, just picked up a 2021 Trident 660 with 14k miles off Facebook Marketplace and ran into some serious issues on my first proper ride. Hoping someone has seen this before.

The symptoms:
After about 10 minutes of riding, the dash lit up with coolant temp high, transmission fault, and check engine light all at once. I pulled over, turned it off, waited a few minutes and jumped back on. the coolant warning cleared but the engine light stayed on. About 5 minutes later the same thing happened again, the bike dropped into limp mode (4k RPM limit), and eventually cut out completely.
One thing I’ve noticed is the coolant temp bar sits at 3 and never climbs higher than that. It either reads 3 bars or it throws the temp error, nothing in between. Not sure if that’s normal or a sign of something.

What I’ve checked so far:
• Coolant level is fine and I’ve done a coolant change
• Found some small bent fins on the rad, looks like stone damage from the front wheel

Questions for you guys:
1. Is the bent fin damage on its own enough to cause this level of overheating, or could it be the fan?
2. Has anyone had a similar experience, especially with a used Trident? Wondering if the previous owner was aware and sold it on knowing about the fault.

Any help massively appreciated — love the bike but need to get this sorted before I can actually ride it properly
