The conversations on this board really helped me figure out the right parts for what I was looking for. Thanks y'all. I don't think I completely screwed this up, and we had a blast putting it together.

My daughter wanted a skateboard for the holidays so I picked her up an element complete and pads/helmet to get started. Now that it's warmer we've been going out to help her learn how to skate. I haven't since I was 13 so we're watching a lot of videos and figuring it together (I'm giving more moral and safety support than expert advice lol) I found this subreddit since getting curious about picking it up myself. I've seen so many of you just doing the damn thing. I picked up a Santa Cruz old school cruiser and took her out today so she now has a skateboard buddy that's just as much as a newb as her (she's definitely better at it than me). I just wanted to post my appreciation for y'all inspiring me to also do the damn thing.
