Trip to Grand Canyon

Friend and I were traveling to camp the Grand Canyon about 10 years ago. I can’t remember if it was our Grand Canyon or Havasu trip but it’s equally a similar drive. I do remember we were on the I40 for a minute really late at night. We eventually had to turn off the freeway to head north on a state-road. Immediately our GPS got turned about n we 180ed back towards 40. GPS configured. Wasn’t making sense so we just pulled over in a dirt lot to read the map and find our bearings. As we figured things out and where to go, we could see a fire going about less than 100 feet away. We both asked what’s going on over there… all the way out here…in the middle of nowhere?! As we looked closer, it was a bonfire. But no, it was a car on fire. Two cars on fire. N there were semi trucks in the area. I could see there were tons of men drinking beer. Then two topless woman were mud wrestling without the mud. At first I said this looks interesting, we should go over there. My friend was like maybe we shouldn’t. I thought about it. Yeah this is really fucking weird we need to leave!! So we navigated our route once more and left! Wish we had better cameras back then. Likely lost the video on an old phone. Has anyone else seen such a thing in the desert like that?!
