First house cleaning
Hi guys!! So I’m doing my first cleaning tmw.
I started this as a side job to save up for my friend to come out from new York this summer(I’m in Chicago area and I’m paying for the ticket and a bunch of other stuff) and I’m trying to save up about 1,100.
I put up an ad on Facebook for my local community and this woman reached out to me.
She has asked me to clean her house which includes 3 bedrooms(2 of them being the kids rooms), a kitchen, 1.5 baths, and a living room.
She wants to pay me 160 at the least. She said her house is a level 6 out of 10 mess. I’m doing the walk through at 9 am and we will discuss official pricing after she requests certain things and she’s open to suggestions. I am able to work till 5;30 pm the latest. I want to charge her a little more because of the time (the starting price) that it will take me. I feel kinda bad cause it’s midnight right now and I feel bad raising the price since it’s pretty late at night and I don’t want to spring it on her tomorrow. She also is going to leave a tip but idk how much and I’m not gonna ask. She is paying me in cash and will be out of the house to let me do my thing after the walkthrough. She is very nice and willing to adjust the price after the walkthrough. Is it bad that I’m hoping she suggests 200+ for this? I’m going to be there for 8.5 hours and I don’t wanna sell myself short. I don’t have much experience in this business but I’ve cleaned family members houses and friends before this and they’ve payed me like 50-100 because it was way less time and legitimately wanted only a basic wipe down. Please lmk what I should do!!!!!!
I’m using her supplies as well.
Also any tips for this clean? She wants a bit of a deep clean for the bathroom and her kitchen. Im kinda nervous and hoping I do well!!!!!!!
She’s willing to pay extra for services like oven cleanings, grout removal, and fridge cleaning.
