Open carry in the woods and on the waters?
So I've noticed there are a lot of differing answers to this question on here. Can anyone clarify the rules. Also, this is strictly asking about people who DO NOT have a concealed carry permit. Do I have to be hunting or target shooting in order to legally carry a firearm openly in the woods or on the waters? I've always been under the impression that its legal to open carry a firearm in the woods or waters and it would only be a problem if i were to carry it concealed. But it appears that some people believe that you can't carry a firearm in the woods or on the waters unless you are hunting. Who's right? I live way north on the edge of superior national forest and ive never heard of anyone getting in trouble for carying rheir gun out in the woods when its not small game or deer season.
