Anyone hoping the upcoming budget has some new train stations and fast rail allocations ?
As someone who lives south west because everywhere closer to work is unaffordable to me, I already spend around 1.5 hours commuting to the cbd each way, and it pains my soul.
As our population grows more and more from high immigration, plus Aussie born coming of age, these people will also be moving out to south west Sydney and beyond due to the cost of living.
I'm really hoping the government has the foresight to introduce more train stations out here, faster services and perhaps a fast rail system because it needs to be put in to motion yesterday. Better late than never, and I can only imagine how bad it will get in another 15 years without substantial upgrades to the infrastructure out this way.
I already feel like I lose 3 hours of my day, giving those fortunate enough literally extra hours in their week to enjoy their life while I commute. Please government, make things better for the masses who can't afford to live within half hour of their CBD work place.
It's just not fair. All these light rail upgrades and things for those already so close to the cbd. What about the masses out here ? Have you forgotten us ?
