WAM-V lineup - $OPTT OceanPowerTechnologies

Took the 3 pages from OPT investor page and morphed them into 1. A little easier on the eyes I think. What problems do you think these “unmanned drones of the sea” will be solving?

Breaking Down the U.S. Navy's 'Hellscape' in Detail (old post but relevant to today.)

Anyone interested in $OPTT have yourself a pleasant read.

I particularly like the mention of the “HELLSCAPE”

If you want to get in a company early, you have to get in when no one’s interested. If you can’t connect these dots from 2024 and it doesn’t expand your eyes where $OPTT is today with these “hopes” then early investing may not be for you. Good luck!

CEO Philipp Stratmann discusses US port security challenges (walk-and-talk video)

Caption

This week, alongside our announcement supporting the U.S. Coast Guard with several installed PowerBuoy® systems, I had the opportunity to spend time with the team discussing the continued evolution of persistent maritime autonomy.

The operational environment is changing quickly. Long-duration offshore presence, integrated sensing, resilient communications, and autonomous systems are becoming increasingly important across both defense and commercial applications.

Proud of the work our team at Ocean Power Technologies is doing to translate capability into operational outcomes.

CEO Philipp Stratmann provides update on DHS PowerBuoy® deployments (full interview + transcript)

Steve Darling: Welcome back inside our proactive newsroom. Joining me now is Philipp Stratmann. He is the CEO of Ocean Power Technologies. Philipp, it's great to see you again. How are you?

Philipp Stratmann: Doing well Steve. Good to be on.

Steve Darling: Good to see you as well. Really interesting news out from the company talking about deploying three PowerBuoys for a DHS surveillance network that they put together. First off, obviously, you've set a record here for most buoys ever deployed for a customer. This is a pretty big one.

Philipp Stratmann: Yeah. We're more than excited about this one. Seeing all the work that the commercial and technical teams on our side have been putting into it, and actually deploying three systems that are working together and streaming live data, is a fascinating sight to see. Given the fact that this is happening right off California, off San Diego, in an operational use case, is even more exciting. It’s what’s really going to help advance the next set of multi-system deployments, no matter where you need them.

Steve Darling: I also noted in the news release that you had gone to 3,500 feet of water, and I don't think that I've ever seen you go that deep. Is that the farthest you've ever gone?

Philipp Stratmann: That is by far the deepest we have ever installed anything. What is great to see about this is the fact that it truly moves our systems from coastal and continental shelf type applications to the ocean. That's over a kilometer of water depth. We've proven out that the system works, and this now opens up the aperture for really expanding surveillance and monitoring networks for any type of application, far out into whatever water depth there might be.

Steve Darling: I would imagine that because it's DHS, the fact that this is a real customer using real data, you're getting a lot of really interesting news from this. This has really pushed towards the next stage of where you want to go with the company.

Philipp Stratmann: Yes. We've been talking for a while about backlog and pipeline, but this is the proof. We are installing multi-asset systems for customers. We're collaborating with some of the greatest defense and security contractors that are out there right now. In fact, our data is streaming to Anduril, who is integrating it into their system to provide it to the Department of Homeland Security. That sets the outline and baseline of how to take this further: deploy multi-systems in areas where you need to know what's happening. We will happily collaborate with larger prime contractors so that you can then use our systems as one piece of the puzzle to provide you that missing bit of data that exists out at the edge in the ocean, and feed that into all the other intelligence you have to really get a picture of what's happening out there so you can act upon it.

Steve Darling: Lastly, I know that we've seen a lot of action and we've talked about the Strait of Hormuz before and what you see in the Middle East. I would imagine that you must be saying to yourself that this is a great opportunity for your systems to be effective in that particular area for what we've seen right now. I'm sure you're fielding lots of questions about that.

Philipp Stratmann: It's a pretty intriguing area at the moment. General seaway security and port security has always been an important topic, but the immediacy and urgency of it is really becoming obvious to everybody right now. We already have good partnerships in the region, and we already have one of our buoys deployed, which I think we announced a while ago, in the UAE. We've got several of our vehicles that are pre-staged over there. The recent announcements and appointments we made of having a GM who's based in the UAE and another GM who's based in Saudi is helping to underpin those conversations and be part of the local dialog, as opposed to it being something where we suddenly try and provide a system. And it's not just the Middle East or the Strait of Hormuz — that's obviously what everybody sees publicly right now — but there's lots of constrained seaways around the world where there's lots of activities going on, like the eastern Baltic, where we need way more eyes and ears on what's happening out in the ocean.

Steve Darling: Absolutely. Philipp, thanks so much. Really great update. Congratulations on this, it's very interesting. I'd love to see how all this works out in the next months to come. Good to see you again, thank you.

Philipp Stratmann: Thanks, Steve. Great to be on.

Steve Darling: All right. There's Philipp Stratmann, the CEO of Ocean Power Technologies.

$OPTT Leadership, Board & Advisory Network

In early stages with companies this $OPTT, I believe it’s important to know who is in charge, where they’ve been and who they have connections with. This chart helps see that in a more organized sized manner

I’m not advocating or recommending anyone to buy anything. I only pass the information I have in hopes people gain some knowledge and make well informed decisions.

Some people will claim to be elevated thinkers when in reality they infect their descending iq.

Buy $optt, don’t buy $optt I couldn’t care less.

Bear with me building this sub!

Hey everyone. The sub is growing faster than I thought. Not crazy but more interest than expected.

I don’t know navigating Reddit that well so things like
Flair or announcements and highlights I’m working to figure out so I appreciate you all bearing with me. If I can figure out the markets I can tackle Reddit too 😂

$OPTT WAM-V this “meme stock” couldn’t make anything unique or useful!

Some more data I’ve compiled over time of the
wam-v. I think a lot of companies in this range are not worth the time of day but as you will see within this community I have a lot of good reasons why I feel that way. Here is a image showing the capabilities of the WAM-V which can be verified through public sources. It’s a spectacular craft really.

This is not financial advice but just hope at some other seeing what I’m seeing with this company. A cheap entry price of $0.356 to me, that has low risk.

I’ve fed into them for the last 2 and a half years profits from larger trades and only recently realized the position size grew substantially.

As always, I welcome any comments or opposing views.

*disclosure: I’m not a pro graphic designer by any means, in the time we live in I am able to take my raw data and input that data to create something visually satisfying to users who could better digest the visual over extremely long text. I’m human, I can own I make mistakes, if you see something feel free to let me know. My only hope is people seeing the value at the price it’s currently at.

Anyway, here it is! I love criticism so feel free to point out anything you feel could be better or let’s have an open discussion especially if you are on the disagreeing side, I love a good respectful debate!

(Old but important news) OPTT Opens Strategic Washington, D.C. Office at AUVSI Headquarters

I will be adding to this community information that is out but is important to note of the company. This information was released August 18th, 2025

Why should you care about an office at AVUSI?

Let’s first see who all is in the building with Optt 🤔

**Companies in 3100 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201**

• **AUVSI** (Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International) — Non-profit trade association for uncrewed/autonomous systems (drones, maritime autonomy, etc.)

• **OPTT** (Ocean Power Technologies) — Develops wave-powered buoys, persistent maritime power systems, and autonomous surface vehicles

• **Industrious** — Coworking and flexible private office space provider

• **Clarendon Alliance, Inc.** — Local business improvement district and chamber of commerce for the Clarendon area

• **Strategic Ventures Consulting Group** — Defense and government consulting firm (focus on Marine Corps and DoD clients)

• **The McCormick Group** — Executive search and recruiting firm

• **Ignited Government** — Government relations, lobbying, and business development services

• **Streamline Property Management** — Commercial and residential property management

• **Zendable, LLC** — Financial services and lending platform

• **David Gardiner and Associates** — Lobbying and government affairs firm

Huh, some pretty interesting company in relations to OPTT all in the same building. Could mean something or could mean absolutely nothing. You decide!

Vanguard 13G and UBS 13F and why you should care

I tried to post THIS is another sub and it was removed twice, why? The information is legitimate and can easily be verified.

Arguably it’s a big enough deal when either of these sophisticated plates are involved but a 13F is largely considered a more note worthy indication for a publicly traded company.

The 13F is to notify you own 5% or more of a company and when Vanguard crossed that threshold they filed the 13F.

I take 25% of my trade profits to “loto stocks” I’ve selected. OPTT has grown quite a bit.

Now I’ve seen the arguments of how much Vanguard controls and how in relation to other people’s income the percent is small. This is just not a good comparison.

These companies allocate funds per company, to use their entire trillions of worth is so inaccurate and not how these big institutions work at all.

OPTT gaining the government clearance it has, fulfilling orders, the partnerships it has, the final backing it has, all very good signs of a company worth keeping a close eye on.

No this isn’t investment advice, no this isn’t to say they are about to absolutely take off. This is to say ignore the noise and lay the facts out yourself because their right in front of you.

Early companies always look terrible, a “meme” stock isn’t going to go through the strains of the government clearance OPTT has, the big players aren’t going to give any attention let alone 5% ownership of a “meme” stock, they aren’t going to put a office in Washington, they aren’t going to partner with rapid growing public companies like RCAT, you get the point?

My non financial advice but a stronger recommendation would be own something in this company and be patient, they are continually gaining investments from large players and continually showing progress.

They will get above $1 at some point with the way things are going and beyond that they will either get bought out by the larger players more than likely or they will just simply continue to grow.

Another thing I would like to point out to the “nay sayers” wave energy is not over for them, they are very much involved and their latest wave energy output was significantly up from their original model, everyone also fails to understand when you look at OPTT chart they had a lot of REVERSE stock splits which is what makes the chart look like it plummeted so low.

👋Welcome to r/OPTTbigbag - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

I’m a simple man. I made this group because I successfully, over the last 11 years of investing, have made a lot of success in finding investments that tend to do much better than the market.

$OPTT is a stock I put money in I don’t care to lose, initially anyway. After gathering so much information I have found they seem to be quite undiscovered and frankly some of that seems intentional.

I will share what I’ve compiled. On a few of my oost I’ve been inserting my raw data to make visual images others may be able to better understand.

Enjoy!
