Battery help for MBA M4
So I got this machine back in the first week of October last year and ofcourse it's brand new(Almost 7 months old now). Now at first I used to get over 8hrs of screen time after a full charge and that is counting only till 20%. then slowly idk it slowly became 7ish but that was mostly cuz of my work flow I think. I was learning blender and editing videos. and at the same time coding with it. so that means my average screentime is somewhere around 10hrs a day cuz of my job and stuff
only recently I started noticing the battery life has fallen significantly low. and it's happening this month or I've been noticing it this month...
I'm only getting 5hrs of total screen time maybe five and a half. that said my laptop is constantly warm as the temperature in my surrounding is always 30-38C all the time. So I figured that might be the problem. but to be sure I kind of ran a test last night.
Cool environment(AC), Full charge no apps running except safari and a few tabs and started using it at 22.30 at 100% and by 23:39 it was 87 then by 00.20 it was 76 and rn it's 2 am and I'm at 39%. all at a few safari tabs and a few apps running in background and no, no heavy apps are running.
I checked the battery health and
cycle count 176
total capacity 4629
available 4395
that's rougly 95% battery health. that doesn't explain a 5hrs of total life with a really light use case
Now I know I'm panicking for nothing and it isn't serious but hear me out. It's one of my first mac device and I've heard so many good things about the battery and 5 hours of screen time with no big time use makes no sense at all to me. I use the beta version too btw. Please lmk if it's normal or should I get it checked
