Has anyone else heard this grinding noise after shutting off their atlas? Kind of like the fan blades are rubbing against something?
I was in an accident 2 weeks after getting my used VW atlas ): it wasn’t making this noise before, I found it like two days after getting my car back from the body shop. Took a video, told them about it. Called insurance, insurance said they would authorize looking at the fan housing and stuff again through the body shop but, if it needs more diagnostics it would have to go to a dealership. If it goes to a dealership for diagnostics and they decide it was a mechanic failure on whatever part they are finding is making the noise, I would be liable for the diagnostics testing price etc. I’m kinda pissed about the whole thing and wanna see if anyone else has had the same issue. It’s after all of the electric shut offs and stuff in the video. I know that part is normal, but the grinding like after a fan turns off is what I’m concerned about..
